Building
Landmarks Building is currently general contracting new construction projects, including homes, barns, decks, furniture, cabinetry, tile, and stonework. Our team brings expertise and care to any project, both rustic and refined. All of our work is scratch built and custom. Natural building is the foundation for this work, and we are always excited to source non-toxic materials and healthy building practices to bring a project together. Materials that appear in our projects include plant-based insulations, linseed oil finishes, mineral paints and plaster, stone and ceramics, and local lumber. We work with a community of local contractors, lumber mills, and suppliers who help us with this vision.
Renovation
We take great care in the renovation, restoration, and remediation of buildings. We respect what is already here, and have a clear standard of what an updated home can look like in a natural building context. In renovation, we recognize that it is important to improve upon the integrity of a building and to lessen its further environmental impact, by implementing contemporary building practices and replacing toxic materials in a building with high quality, natural equivalents where possible. Landmarks Building also offers general contracting and coordination for projects that require specialized cleanup and remediation.
